SERVICES PROVIDED:

The Customer Service Section handles the administrative responsibilities of the Division. This Section deals with general assistance to our customers.

Network Services has over 500 clients. These include State government, Local government, Local political subdivisions and Federal government agencies. With a client base this large, Network Services has worked with agency heads to establish a Communications Coordinator in each agency. This is the only individual(s), in addition to the agency head, that can order telecommunications services that will incur a charge to the agency.

The Division's clients have a huge diversity of needs that range from a normal desk set to a specialized instrument for the hearing impaired. To meet these needs, the Customer Services Section deals with over 300 vendors and suppliers.

The Division's billing system is a very dynamic and flexible tool for State agencies. The constant changes in the industry, as well as changes in the needs of the clients, dictates the necessity for this flexibility. In many cases, the Division can make suggestions for customizing your billing to make your job easier. Changes to your current billing can be accomplished through a call to our accounts receivable area. The various sections are divided into billing codes.

AT&T Language Line Services provide a 24-hour over-the-phone interpretation in more than 140 languages. Interpreters are pre- screened by linguistic experts and must pass rigorous language proficiency exams required by many government agencies.

The Customer Service Section can also assist agencies in setting up video conference. Again, this offering is described in detail in the Section on Video Conferencing.
